Privacy Policy

Last updated November 2, 2026

The short version: wear.the keeps your data on your iPhone. We don’t run servers, we don’t have accounts, and we never see what you log. The only data that leaves your device is your approximate location, which goes to Apple to get the weather.

Who we are

wear.the is published by Chetan Raval (“we”). Questions about this policy go to weartheappofficial@gmail.com.

What stays on your iPhone

Everything you put into the app is stored only on your device:

We can’t access this data, and it isn’t synced to iCloud by the app. If you back up your iPhone with iCloud or a computer, it’s included in that backup the way other app data is, under Apple’s terms.

Location and weather

If you allow it, wear.the uses your approximate location, only while the app is open, to get the current weather from Apple’s WeatherKit service. That request goes directly from your iPhone to Apple; it never passes through us. Apple’s handling of it is covered by Apple’s Privacy Policy.

The app doesn’t store your location. It saves the weather it fetched (so it can show it again quickly), but not where it was fetched. If you don’t allow location access, you can type the temperature in yourself and everything else works the same.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, the app schedules a reminder on your iPhone to rate an outfit later. Reminders are created and delivered on the device; no notification server is involved.

What we don’t do

When you contact us

“Send feedback” in Settings opens an email draft to weartheappofficial@gmail.com with the app version and iOS version filled in. Nothing is sent unless you send it. If you do, we use your email only to reply and to improve the app, and we don’t share it.

If you’ve chosen to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone’s settings, Apple may give us anonymous crash reports and usage statistics. You can turn this off in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.

Deleting your data

Use Settings → Delete all data in the app, or delete the app. Either removes everything it stored. Because we hold no copy, there’s nothing for us to delete on our side.

Children

wear.the doesn’t collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we’ll update it here and change the date at the top. If the app ever starts handling data differently, the policy will say so before that version is released.
